We primarily offer two (2) types of PDC Cutters for Oil and Gas applications - the basic gauage cutters and high performance cutters.
The basic gauge cutters (LT2 / LT4) are not leached - they provide good impact resistance and are commonly used as gauge cutters to protect the bit body for complex drilling applications. They can also be used for drillings soft and medium hard formations.
The high performance (MT2) cutters are excellent in impact and wear resistance. They are used as primary or secondary cutters. The leaching depth of these cutters are usually around 1000 to 1200 um.
We can also offer shaped cutters per client's design. However, it is the client's responsibility to ensure they possess the appropriate license for the use of the shaped cutters.
PDC Cutters (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact Cutters) are high-performance cutting elements used primarily in oil and gas drilling. They are a key component of PDC drill bits, which are widely used for drilling through tough rock formations due to their durability and efficiency.
PDC cutters consist of two main layers:
Synthetic diamond layer: This is the ultra-hard, wear-resistant top layer made from sintered polycrystalline diamond, which provides the cutting action.
Tungsten carbide substrate: This acts as a strong backing, offering mechanical support and toughness.
We currently carry the following cutters in our inventory:
